The best way to learn how to manage a disciplinary situation which may lead to dismissal is to do it! These training materials are designed to equip delegates for the worst-case scenario and create understanding around the process behind a dismissal so that disciplinary investigations, hearings and appeals can be confidently carried out. By having a greater knowledge, action can be taken at an earlier stage, rather than letting a matter escalate and having to pickup the pieces afterwards (which is always more complicated!)
This session is about ironing out any of the mistakes that we may make in a safe environment.
IN THIS MODULE:
An exercise, which can be role-play based, using fictional characters in workplace scenarios – in teams the delegates will consider the situation and outcome after each scenario. Following this exercise a trainer-led discussion around key learning, which can be run using a flipchart.
We recommend using several modules in this course, or your own course before this one, as they will need prior knowledge of the process.
