From idea to presentation

IN THIS MODULE:

• A brief discussion on each of the types of communication: vocal, verbal, visual.
• A plan for creating a presentation as well as the “Six Rules of Engaging with your Audience”.
• A fun task where delegates work in pairs to pitch an idea to the group, to practice their presenting skills.

AIMS:

• To discover how to present your ideas clearly and concisely.
• To prepare presentations to present your ideas.

Time:

This exercise will take approximately 1 hour and 20 minutes.

Group Size:

12 people.

USEFUL FOR:

Staff of all levels.

YOU’ll NEED:

• Trainer pack and handouts – optional PowerPoint included.
• Delegates will need their smartphones or tablets (camera and audio function required).
• A variety of pre-packaged snacks to inspire delegates.
• Timer – source your own, use a phone app or select “training materials plus timer” and we will post one to you.
• Flipchart paper and coloured pens if delegates want to use these for their presentations – you will need to provide these.
