IN THIS MODULE:

  • A fun exercise with delegates acting out different emotions to learn about body language.
  • A verbal game teaching delegates about the power of tone of voice.
  • “Criticism or Constructive Feedback?” card game – a fun way to learn how to deliver constructive feedback.
  • An exercise covering the basic structure of a coaching meeting.

AIMS:

  • To define the importance of all aspects of communication when coaching including body language and tone of voice.
  • To model constructive feedback in scenarios and ensure this is not received as criticism.

Time:

1 hour.

Group Size:

Ideally, 4-16 delegates per session. Materials are reusable.

USEFUL FOR:

Those with management responsibility.

YOU’ll NEED:

  • Trainer pack and handouts – optional PowerPoint included.
  • “Criticism or constructive feedback?” activity cards – PDF version available (to print yourself) with training materials only or receive a professionally printed set in the post by selecting training materials plus activity cards.
  • Sticky notes – you will need to supply these.

IMPORTANT NOTE:

Some topics in this module are covered in more depth in module 7 – the GROW coaching module.
