IN THIS MODULE:

  • A brainstorming task in small teams on coaching opportunities.
  • A short briefing on the push and pull styles of coaching followed by discussions about the consequences of using both methods.
  • A situational task where, in teams, delegates discuss different scenarios and determine the best approach to take.

AIMS:

  • To recognise when coaching is appropriate as an intervention.
  • To understand whether to choose the push or pull coaching style in given situations.

Time:

1 hour and 5 minutes.

Group Size:

Ideally up to 12 people.

USEFUL FOR:

Those with management responsibility.

YOU’ll NEED:

  • Trainer pack and handouts – available in downloads.
  • Timer – you can supply this yourself or select training materials plus timer and we will post a glass sand timer to you.
  • Flipchart pages and markers – you will need to supply these yourself.
