The GROW coaching model

GROW is very well known in the business arena, but it also has many applications in everyday life. The particular value of GROW is that it provides an effective, structured methodology using a simple four-letter principle.

IN THIS MODULE:

• A short flipchart exercise introducing the GROW model.
• A small group activity identifying the questions required for each stage.
• Activity using the GROW model in a real-life scenario.

AIMS:

• To identify the four elements of the GROW model and create questions for each stage.
• To practice coaching in a real-life scenario using the GROW model.

Time:

1 hour and 30 minutes.

Group Size:

Ideally, 4-16 delegates per session.

Those with management responsibility.

• Trainer pack and handouts – optional PowerPoint included.
• Sticky notes – you will need to supply these.
