Your 6-12 month development plan

IMPORTANT NOTE:

This module brings together all of the skills learned in the previous Independent Thinking modules, therefore, this should only be delivered in previous modules have been delivered first.

IN THIS MODULE:

• A brief discussion on each of the types of communication: vocal, verbal, visual.
• A plan for creating a presentation as well as the “Six Rules of Engaging with your Audience”.
• A fun task where delegates work in pairs to pitch an idea to the group, to practice their presenting skills.

AIMS:

• To identify your learning and skills used during the modules.
• To create a development plan.

Time:

This exercise will take approximately 1 hour.

Group Size:

12 people.

Staff of all levels.

YOU’ll NEED

• Trainer pack and handouts – available in downloads.
• A soft ball – Source your own or available to purchase from the training store
• Sticky tack – you will need to provide this.
• Flipchart paper – you will need to provide this.
• “Developing Skills” activity cards – a free, basic PDF version is available in downloads or a professionally printed set can be purchased from the training store.
